The Oshkosh police department will release the results of a study on its staffing tonight.
City manager Mark Rohloff admits the department is running lean in terms of personnel.
He says they reallocated some officers into a drug and vice unit and took them off the street. Rohloff says the study will help them decide how to make up for that loss and reallocation.
The city worked with a consultant on the staffing study and Chief Dean Smith will present the findings to the council before tonight’s meeting.
