Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett says the city is securing a third-party line of credit in hopes of hosting the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
Milwaukee is one of three finalists. Houston and Miami are also in the running and a decision is expected next month. Host cities need to have a $20 million line of credit. Barrett wouldn’t provide the city’s amount and the people or groups backing it.
