A De Pere businessman will spend more than seven years in prison for defrauding the state’s economic development agency and other investors.
Ronald Van Den Heuvel was sentenced in federal court Wednesday, after he reached a plea deal.
Prosecutors say he received $9.4 million from investors. They say Van Den Heuvel used millions of that money to pay debts, buy Green Bay Packers tickets, and provide his family with a lavish lifestyle.
