The Freedom school district will go back to voters to ask for a new high school.
A nearly $56 million referendum will be on the April ballot.
Sixty-three percent voted down a $67 million proposal in November of 2017.
District Administrator Kevin Kilstofte says they took out an auxiliary gym, outdoor athletic fields, a community room, and a new district office from the high school project. He says they also removed smaller upgrades at the elementary school and the current middle and high school building.
A second question asks for $625,000 a year to run the new school. It would be at the corner of Highways N and UU.
If voters approve both questions, property taxes would go up by $328 per $100,000 of value.
