Hotel Northland in downtown Green Bay will open on Valentine’s Day.
There have been a number of setbacks during the long renovation of the 160-room hotel. General Manager John Williams joined the project in mid-June. He says it’s been a marathon for the people in Green Bay.
Work on the hotel has been going on for about a decade. The cost is estimated at $50 million. There were a number of financial and personnel issues over the years.
Hotel Northland first opened in 1924 and it’s on the National Register of Historic Places.
