Two smaller construction sites in the Fox Cities were also vandalized this week, and police are trying to figure out if they’re connected.
The hardest-hit spot was the Fox Cities Champion Center, where investigators are still putting together a damage estimate.
Fox Valley Metro police say an apartment building site in Little Chute was vandalized, and Appleton police are reporting damage at two home construction sites on the city’s east side.
Appleton Police Officer Meghan Cash says the departments want to make sure they’re sharing as much information as possible to see if there’s a link.
Work is on hold at the Fox Cities Champion Center, but officials still hope to open on schedule.
