A program that gives cancer patients free transportation is looking for more volunteers.
Road to Recovery helps people get to their appointments across the country. Kim Kinner is with the American Cancer Society. She says the hospital or the patient or their family can reach out to participate in the program.
Kinner says in Outagamie County 30 percent of rides are unmet because there’s not enough volunteers. It’s 32 percent in Winnebago County and 10 percent in Brown County.
Kinner says anyone interested in helping can sign up on their website.
