Before the weekend murder of a 29-year-old man, it had been more than two years since the last shooting homicide in Green Bay.
Police believe the people involved knew each other.
The victim was found dead in the basement of a home Sunday night. The house is in the 600 block of George Street on the city’s east side.
Commander Paul Ebel says the snow didn’t hinder the initial part of their investigation. He says they were able to process the outside of the house, collect any evidence, and take pictures before the snow started falling.
The last shooting homicide in Green Bay was a murder-suicide, on the west side, in November of 2016. Police say a 55-year-old man killed a 60-year-old woman, before shooting himself.
