With frigid temperatures schools, businesses and even some local governments are shutting down for the day.
According to Linda Kollmann, the Winnebago County Emergency Management Director, this is very serious stuff.
She says emergency management officials across the state are working with the National Weather Service to track the weather and keep everyone safe.
While it’s Winnebago County’s policy to always be open, Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson decided to close his county office building today and tomorrow because of the weather.
All non-critical employees can stay home.
Offices will reopen on Friday.
