The head of a regional business group says it’s too soon to determine the impact of Foxconn’s changes at the company’s proposed plant in southeast Wisconsin.
CEO Terry Gou will move away from a blue-color manufacturing facility to a research hub. He says they’re still committed to creating 13,000 jobs.
New North Executive Director Jerry Murphy says Foxconn isn’t known for its transparency, but the company needs to be very forthcoming with any changes.
Murphy is reminding people that incentives the state is offering Foxconn won’t be paid, unless the company meets certain benchmarks.
Gou believes about 75 percent of the workers at the facility will be in the research, development, and design sectors.
