Grand Chute police say they arrested a 19-year-old woman after she tried to stab officers with a knife.
Officers were called to the 2700 block of Spencer Street around 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning. They say the initial call was for destroying property and assaulting another person.
When an officer tried to talk to the woman they say she tried to stab him. The officer left the home and called for backup. Investigators say several officers went back inside the home and the woman tried to stab them again. They say officers disarmed her and arrested her without injury.
The police department is recommending charges of battery or threat of an officer.
