One person has severe burns after a fire on Green Bay’s west side.
Fire crews were called just before 6 p.m. yesterday to the 500 block of Pine Terrace. The injured person was already being taken to a hospital by family.
Homeowner Stephanie Ortiz says family and friends were watching the Super Bowl when her cousin ran into the hallway on fire from the chest up. She told firefighters she got him in the shower to put it out.
She believes her cousin had something on his skin or clothing like alcohol that started on fire after he lit a lighter.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Damage is estimated at $150,000.
