Dozens of people are being honored for playing a part in saving lives or stopping crime.
About 46 people were given awards last night in Brown County. Sheriff Todd Delain says there’s no way to thank these people enough.
Marsha Loritz received a certificate of appreciation for her efforts in supporting families of missing persons.
She founded the Wisconsin Missing Persons Advocacy after her own mother Victoria Prokopovitz went missing six years ago.
Sergeant Brian Slinger won the Brown County Officer of the Year Award for his work in closing the murder case of Nicole VanderHeyden.
The Ledgeview woman’s body was found in a field in Bellevue in 2016.
