The amount of paid family leave someone gets after having or adopting a baby could soon change.
President Trump talked about the issue during his State of the Union address Tuesday night.
Right now, people can get up to 12 weeks off, unpaid, if they work for a company with 50 or more workers.
Pam Cottrell is a human resources teacher at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She says there are some questions about whether the federal government would pay for it, or if businesses would need to budget for it.
Cottrell thinks it’s a welcome conversation, but she isn’t getting her hopes too high.
