Appleton schools are putting together a Black History Month celebration on Sunday.
It’s the first time the district has held the event, and it will be at the Appleton West High School auditorium.
Cultural Specialist Kempton Freeman says they’ll have student performances and a panel discussion, followed by a Soul Food Dinner. He hopes the dinner will give people a chance to sit down, and talk about what they learned or experienced.
Celebrate the Culture is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
