Part of the former Pick ‘n Save store in Kimberly is being converted into indoor storage units.
Some neighbors are raising concerns about plans to also have some portable storage containers outside the building.
Village Administrator Dani Block says the owners would keep them behind the building and rent them for off-site use. She says they want more details on the containers being free of graffiti. She says the board wants more time to discuss a different layout to keep the containers out of the neighbor’s sight.
The plan commission agreed to a nine-month trial period. The village board could consider the proposal again later this month.
A vintage business called Antique Up is in the other half of the former grocery store.
