An Appleton woman reached a plea deal in the death of her 13-year-old daughter.
Thirty-eight-year-old Nicole Gussert entered no contest pleas in Outagamie County court this morning to charges of child neglect and dealing meth.
Her daughter, Brianna, had developmental disabilities. She was found dead at their home, in the 800 block of W. Winnebago Street in May of 2017.
Prosecutors say the mother told investigators she couldn’t remember the last time she fed Brianna, or changed the girl’s diaper. They say the house smelled of death, and rotten food.
Gussert is scheduled to be sentenced on April 17th.
