The EAA is pleased Oshkosh is taking a step back on plans to start collecting room taxes from house rentals.
Some communities around the state are now getting revenue through Air BNB and other online places.
City Manager Mark Rohloff doesn’t want to impact homeowners when they rent their places during EAA AirVenture.
Dick Knapinski is a spokesman for the EAA. He says city leaders recognize the importance of the event.
Knapinski says they want to work together with the city and the state to see if Oshkosh can get an exemption for AirVenture.
