A congressman from La Crosse wants to make a package of federal tax breaks for craft breweries and wineries permanent.
Democratic Representative Ron Kind says the program works with federal agencies to help smaller businesses. He says this can reduce the tax burden and get rid of some of the regulatory hurdles.
Kind says breweries bring in over $2 billion a year for the state. He wants to help smaller operations compete with larger competitors.
