Making up snow days is becoming a huge challenge for local school districts.
Oshkosh Superintendent Vickie Cartwright says administrators are asking the Department of Public Instruction for help, by giving them a chance to waive the required minimum number of instructional hours.
The Oshkosh school district is adding 13 minutes a day to classes at both high schools, starting March 1st. There will be a full day of classes on two early release days, March 13th and April 10th.
The school board is canceling the additional day of school, on June 10th, after hearing complaints from parents and staff.
