Green Bay police believe missing money is behind a murder on the city’s east side.
Thirty-two-year-old Brion Hatcher is facing a charge of first-degree intentional homicide and he’s in custody on a $2 million bond. Twenty-nine-year-old Tavarious Edwards was shot in the basement of a home on George Street last month.
Capt. Paul Ebel says Hatcher thought Edwards was involved in taking one-thousand dollars from him. Ebel says they tracked Hatcher using cell phone records and by watching surveillance video. They believe he left for Milwaukee after the shooting.
Hatcher was arrested last week when he was in Green Bay.
