An eighth-grader from Greenville is this year’s winner of a music scholarship from a Mile of Music program.
Chase Denoo stopped at Heid Music today to get a new electric guitar. It’s from Tundraland, through the company’s “Singing in the Shower” booth.
It’s the sixth year that people sang in a shower display in downtown Appleton to set up the scholarship.
Tundraland President Brian Gottlieb says he’s seen the confidence of the winners grow as they’ve learned their new instrument. The first five winners all performed at the following Mile of Music festival.
Denoo says he’s wanted to play the guitar for a long time, and he’s excited.
