The cold weather is having an impact at the Day by Day warming shelter in Oshkosh.
Because of below-zero temperatures the shelter went into emergency protocol last Saturday, and that will be the case until at least Tuesday.
Executive Director Matt Johnson says that means they’re extending their bed count from 25 to 38. He says they only had to do that two days last winter, and they’ve already had 11 of those days this winter.
Johnson says they’re in need of backpacks., twin size comforters and pillows for guests.
