Sen Robert Cowles announces he won't seek re-election in the newly redrawn 2nd District
Eleven members of Governor Evers’ administration are making at least 10 percent more than their predecessors under former Governor Scott Walker.
That’s not sitting well with Republican Senator Rob Cowles of Allouez. He says it’s not justified at this point. He believes people should work for a year or two before giving them a raise.
The 27 members of the Evers administration are set to make about $3.5 million a year. That’s about six percent higher than the total for Walker’s top appointees.
A spokeswoman says Evers believes in fair compensation for professionals who choose to serve.
