State lawmakers are considering a proposal that would provide some relief to school districts struggling to make up snow days.
The bill would grant a waiver to the state’s required minimum number of instructional minutes.
Oshkosh Superintendent Vickie Cartwright would prefer that the waiver stay in place permanently.
Many school districts have had to add days to the end of the school year, cancel scheduled days off, or extend class days to meet the minimum requirements this year.
