It was another day of reflection and reconciliation in Vietnam for veterans traveling with the Old Glory Honor Flight back to the country they served.
Action 2 News reporter Jeff Alexander is traveling with the group from northeast Wisconsin and sharing their stories.
They went to the Quang Tri Province and Alexander says it’s the area that America suffered its greatest casualties during the Vietnam War.
Of the 58,000 troops killed in action more than one-third died in areas near the North Vietnam border.
Jim Van Den Heuvel from Seymour reflects on the two week trip. He says the veterans have formed a brotherhood and hope to get together when they return to the United States.
Alexander says as part of the trip they made their way to the area known during the war as the DMZ, the demilitarized zone.
