Kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart is coming to northwest Wisconsin to speak in the hometown of Jayme Closs.
The 13-year-old Closs escaped in January, after prosecutors say she was held captive for about three months. Twenty-one-year-old Jake Patterson is charged with her abduction, and the murder of her parents.
Smart was taken from her home in Salt Lake City in 2002. She’s holding an event called “Moving Forward with Elizabeth Smart” on Friday, March 13th. It’s at the Barron Area Community Center.
