A 42-year-old Hortonville man was killed in a snowmobile crash this morning in the Shiocton area.
Lt. Ryan Carpenter of the Outagamie County Sheriff’s department says the man was on a trail around 9:45 a.m. He says the man didn’t stop at Highway 54 by Old 54 Road.
The snowmobiler hit the back of a semi, and he died at the scene. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.
Highway 54 was shut down in both directions for more than three hours while deputies and the State Patrol investigated.
