A speed skating coach from Kaukauna is accused of having sex with one of the girls on the team.
Outagamie County prosecutors are charging 30-year-old Matthew Kitzis with two counts of sexual assault of a child.
They say investigators started looking into the case last September, and the teen initially denied the accusations. They say Kitzis told the girl he was happy she didn’t tell the truth, because he didn’t want to go to prison.
Kitzis is accused of first having sex with the girl in 2016, when she was 15. Prosecutors believe it happened several more times through February of last year.
