Some of the best foosball players from around the state, and the country, are converging on the Appleton area.
They’re in town this weekend for the Wisconsin Foosball State Championships. The event starts tonight at Mad Apple Billiards, next to the Clarion Hotel, on College Avenue in Grand Chute.
Tournament Director Brett Nooyen says the professionals will get going around 3 p.m. Saturday. He says some incredibly talented players will be competing, and people usually are blown away when they first see it.
There’s a “draw your partner” tournament Friday starting at 7 p.m., and it’s open to people of all skill levels.
Nooyen was a guest on Fresh Take with Josh Dukelow on WHBY this morning.
