A Republican in the Assembly is asking people to keep an open mind about a proposal in the governor’s budget.
Governor Evers wants to let illegal immigrants go through the drivers testing process and get a license.
Rep. Ron Tusler of Harrison thinks there could be support for that from Republicans. But he has an issue with putting it in the budget, along with a plan to set up automatic voter registration when someone applies for a driver’s license.
