Outagamie County could be home to one of the two state-run youth prisons.
Governor Evers is picking a site in the Town of Hortonia, in an area between New London and Hortonville. The other state-run facility would be in Milwaukee.
The state is closing the troubled Lincoln Hills prison, and replacing it with a number of regional facilities. Evers says the state will also provide grants to counties to help them build their own centers.
