The price at the pump continues to rise, and it’s now closing in on $2.50 a gallon.
Erin Roth of the Wisconsin Petroleum Council believes the cost of crude oil is to blame. He thinks prices could go up even more, because it’s possible OPEC will cut production.
But, Roth says the U.S. is the top oil producing country in the world. He’s confident American producers can make up for any gap in supplies.
AAA Wisconsin reports the average price for gas in the Fox Cities one year ago was $2.42.
