A Green Bay restaurant will have to shell out more than $113,000 to cover fines and back pay in a labor law case.
Mackinaws Grill and Spirits is on Voyager Drive on the east side. The owners were accused of breaking child labor laws and overtime standards.
The federal labor department says cooks weren’t paid overtime, and the restaurant deducted uniform costs from paychecks. Children under 16 reportedly worked beyond their allowed hours.
Mackinaws will have to pay about 100 former and current employees back wages.
