A historic site in Appleton is officially launching a fundraising drive to revitalize the outside of the building.
The Hearthstone House Museum hopes to raise $500,000.
Executive Director George Schroeder says they completed the inside of the home this year. Now they want to bring the outside up to those standards. He says the project includes restoring the chimney, brick and wood work, and replacing the windows.
If the campaign brings in $200,000 an anonymous donor is agreeing to give $100,000. There’s a link to more information on the museum’s website.
