In the past three years the number of opioid prescriptions in the state is down 29 percent.
Attorney General Josh Kaul was in Green Bay yesterday and he thinks it’s a good start. But he believes they have to do more for prevention and helping people battling with addiction. Kaul thinks expanding Medicaid will help people in the state access treatment.
Kaul thinks there are alternative drugs that doctors can prescribe in place of opioids.
