Students will have to come back for one extra day of classes in the Green Bay school district.
It will be a make-up day from last week’s cancellation for flooding.
Associate Superintendent John Magas says the last day of the year was supposed to be Friday, June 7th, but now it’s Monday, June 10th. He thinks the day will look more like a summer school class, with projects or service-based learning.
Magas says they’re also looking into next year’s calendar. He thinks they could build a few extra minutes into the beginning of class, in case they have to cancel school a number of times again.
Magas says the extra day will apply to everyone except graduating seniors, and students in 4-K and Head Start.
