There’s thousands of dollars in damage to the stained glass windows at a downtown Appleton church.
A vandal hit the neighborhood around City Park Monday night. Parts of the windows are shattered at All Saints Episcopal Church, at the corner of College Avenue and Drew Street.
Member Chris Lanswell says there was glass all over the inside of their chapel. He says the best way to describe it, is that it looked like a bomb went off. He calls it devastating.
Lanswell says they’ll be able to fix the windows, but they won’t be exactly the same because they’re pieces of art.
Police took the vandalism suspect into custody. They believe he has mental health issues.
