Investigators believe a woman found dead in the Menominee River was killed in South Dakota.
Two boys found the body of Tamara LaFramboise last Saturday. The river runs between Marinette and Menominee, Michigan. The body was missing its hands, feet, and head.
Forty-five-year-old Stephen Falkenburg is charged with second-degree murder in South Dakota. Jeffrey Rogg is a prosecutor for Menominee County. He believes the murder happened in South Dakota, so Falkenburg will face charges there.
Investigators say Falkenburg graduated high school in Menominee. They believe he brought the body there from South Dakota. They say Falkenburg and LaFramboise were in a relationship.
