Sen Robert Cowles announces he won't seek re-election in the newly redrawn 2nd District
A Republican lawmaker doesn’t agree with a judge’s ruling on the lame-duck laws.
Senator Rob Cowles of Allouez was the only Republican to vote against the proposal to limit the powers of the governor and attorney general. He believes it was irresponsible.
Cowles thinks the case will go to an appeals court, and likely the state Supreme Court.
Lawmakers also confirmed over 60 appointments by former Republican Governor Scott Walker. Cowles believes it would create chaos, if Governor Evers rescinds them.
