The city of Green Bay is looking for a new company to offer a bike sharing service.
Lime Bikes of California put out a fleet of 150 in parts of the city last summer. But Matt Buchanan of the city’s community and economic development department says Lime is changing its business model to focus on larger cities. He says the city will ask other companies for proposals. He believes Lime’s numbers from about four months of ridership will help. Buchanan says with over 4,500 trips taken and over 2,200 riders, Green Bay can support a bike share service.
Buchanan hopes to have a new company in place before the fall.
