Classes are on as usual at Weyauwega-Fremont Middle School despite a fire yesterday afternoon.
Fire crews were called around 5 p.m. and staff and students in the building were evacuated.
Fire chief Tom Cullen says crews saw heavy black smoke.
He says they put out the fire quickly but it took hours to ventilate the entire building.
The cause is still under investigation.
