The Kaukauna Youth Baseball program is short of its fundraising goal, and the group is asking the Village of Harrison for almost $1 million in additional funding.
The village already pledged $1 million toward the baseball complex at Highways 55 and KK.
Village Administrator Travis Parish says if the project moves forward, the village would also borrow $1.5 million to build a road and add turn lanes on Highway 55.
Parish says the road would have to go in eventually, if there’s development in that area. The village could recoup those costs over time, because the land is in a TIF district.
The village board is meeting at 7 p.m. tonight at the village hall.
