A hotel in downtown Appleton plans to pay its overdue room taxes in the coming weeks.
The Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley owes more than $140,000.
General Manager Linda Garvey says they’ve had a squeeze on cash flow, in part because of the significant renovations. She says they were also hit by several unexpected expenses while running the Fox Cities Exhibition Center.
Three percent of the room taxes go to pay for the center.

The Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley is owned by the Florida-based Inner Circle Investments. The City of Appleton reached a deal to have the hotel run the Fox Cities Exhibition Center.
