Prosecutors are charging two people with attempted murder for a shooting in Oshkosh.
They believe 20-year-old Kyle Wiegand of Appleton shot a 28-year-old man in the chest last Sunday night, in the 500 block of Grand Street on the northeast side.
The victim reportedly told police 25-year-old Clea Bowden of Greenville was angry with him, because he was borrowing her car for longer than he had planned. Bowden is accused of messaging the man throughout the day, claiming he would become a victim.
Prosecutors say a woman was standing next to the victim, when he was shot in the chest from outside the home. She wasn’t hit.
The victim’s gunshot wound was to the upper left chest, and it wasn’t life-threatening.
Wiegand and Bowden are both charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Wiegand and Bowden are in custody on $100,000 bonds.
