Republican lawmakers are taking the first steps to appeal a second ruling on last year’s lame duck laws.
Dane County Judge Frank Remington blocked some of them, ruling that they violate the separation of powers between the executive and legislative branches.
The 3rd District Court of Appeals would hear the case. That’s the same court that put another Dane County judge’s ruling on hold, in a separate lame-duck lawsuit earlier this week.
