The DOT is planning a project on Highway 54 between New London and Shiocton and people can hear about it this evening.
Project Manager Tim Rank will lead a community meeting at the Shiocton School Library.
Rank says they’re going to resurface the highway as early as 2024. He says there will also be construction work on the west side of Shiocton that will require a detour.
He says they have to replace a culvert in that area. The rest of Highway 54 would stay open but there would be lane closures with flagging in areas where crews are working.
The meeting is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. this evening.
