The first ship of the season arrived this morning at the Port of Green Bay.
The Coast Guard brought in ice-breaking boats earlier this week.
The last shipping season was the best in five years. Nearly 2.1 million tons of materials moved through the port, and that was up 14 percent from 2017. There was also an eight percent boost in the number of ships.
