A K-9 handler with the Green Bay police department says they’re going to review the situation that led to the stabbing of K-9 Pyro.
Officer Joe Merrill says officers thought the suspect had a cell phone in one hand, and nothing in the other. He says they didn’t realize the man also had a knife.
Merrill says if they knew the man had a knife, they could use a different level of force, beyond a police dog and a taser.
