K-9 Pyro is making “great improvements” while he recovers from stab wounds.
Green Bay police are providing that update, several days after the dog was wounded.
They say Pyro is “becoming more active,” and he’s engaging more with his handler and staff at the animal hospital. Pyro’s handler is Officer Scott Salzmann, and the Salzmann family is taking Pyro out for more walks.
The dog is at the Fox Valley Animal Referral Center in Grand Chute.
There’s a fundraiser for Pyro in Suamico tonight, at Bark and Brew.
